Eligibilty, Who can became a mentor?

In this course there are mentors from different regions of India who will train and guide students. The following requirements should be met in a diabetic centre of the mentor:

  • A work load of at least 50 diabetics per week, which includes a few type 1 diabetics and a few pregnant diabetics.
  • A good record system and follow up system to keep continuity of care.
  • An individualized and/or group patient education program conducted by senior staff or a certified diabetes educator.
  • A library with basic books and journals on Diabetology.
